Course Details

The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace, it is designed for students wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA). To work as a door supervisor and is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications.

Entry Requirements

    You will need to show you hold a current and valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate

    Have achieved an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification covering

  • The importance of preventing cross-infection

  • The need for recording incidents and actions

  • Available equipment

  • Assessing the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency

    Have achieved an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification covering administering first aid to a casualty who is:

  • Administering First aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)

  • Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use of an automated external defibrillator

  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is choking

  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding

  • Providing appropriate first aid for minor injuries including

  • Small cuts

  • Grazes and Bruises

  • Minor burns and scalds

  • Small splinters
