Course Details

The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace, it is designed for students wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA). To work as a door supervisor and is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications.

Entry Requirements

• 

  You will need to show you hold a current and valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate

• 

  Have achieved an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification covering

• The importance of preventing cross-infection

• The need for recording incidents and actions

• Available equipment

• Assessing the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency

• Administering First aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)

• Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use of an automated external defibrillator

• Administering first aid to a casualty who is choking

• Administering first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding

• Providing appropriate first aid for minor injuries including

• Small cuts

• Grazes and bruises

• Minor burns and scalds

• Small splinters

• 

  Must be 18 or over

ID Requirements

You must provide a minium of 1 of these documents

• 

  A valid passport (any nationality)

• 

  A signed UK photocard driving licence

• 

  A valid warrant card issued by HM forces or the police

• 

  Another photographic ID card, e.g. employee ID card, student ID card, travel card etc.

  Session 1: Understand terror threats and the role of the security operative in the event of a threat

• 

  Session 1: Know how to minimise risk to personal safety at work

• 

  Session 2: Know what actions to take in relation to global (or critical) incidents

Note: the examination at the end of the virtual courses will need to be undertaken by the trainees at designated centres.
